MYTHBUSTER
Possibly the biggest myth about pet portraits is that the photo or photos you have are not good enough to work from.
This may be a worry to you or put you off enquiring. It’s certainly something I hear, and it's one of the biggest reasons I see that people put off enquiring.
Of course, great reference photos are always helpful: natural light, clear eyes, the perfect pose in a photo that really captures your pet's personality all make a difference. That doesn't mean your favourite photo or photos have to be perfect.
Some of the most meaningful portraits I've created have been from older photos, treasured snapshots, or a combination of several images. As an artist, part of my job is bringing those details together to create a portrait that truly feels like them.
I can work using existing photos to compose that portrait for you that fully depicts your pet’s unique character.
So if you've been wandering whether or not to ask because you think your reference photos aren't good enough, don't rule yourself out before we've had a chat.
So, please don’t hesitate to email me direct, or use the Contact page, with your photos. I'm happy to have a look and let you know what's possible. I love a challenge; there's no obligation, there’s nothing to lose.
