Dedicated portraiture, even more special than your favourite photograph, a pet portrait unique to you is a delightful way to celebrate your companion; a gift or simply a dedicated lifetime memento, a special addition to those moments captured on a photograph.
Whether you’re commissioning a pet portrait, or purchasing a wildlife art print, each portrait is 100% hand drawn using the finest quality materials.
Through application and patience, the precision and time I dedicate to each hand drawn piece results in photo realism from a classic drawing style. The process of building up layers to recreate texture and depth through delicately placed pencil strokes goes to ensure each portrait captures that unique heart and essence of your pet.
COMMISSION INFO
I work using the highest grade coloured pencil, Caran d’Ache Luminance and Faber-Castell Polychromos, on hot pressed Fabriano Artisco cotton paper. Their combined lightfast and archive qualities ensure an enduring longevity over decades of your portrait.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long will the Portrait take to complete?
My a portrait drawings generally take 2 - 3 weeks to complete on starting on receipt of your deposit. If you have any specific deadline date in mind, please let me know when booking.
What photographs do you need?
I usually work from one favourite photograph, although any accompanying photo would be helpful for additional detail. Photos you supply should ideally be clear and of high resolution. Taken at eye level - a good quality headshot is ideal - photos taken in natural light preferably outdoors are best to work from. I need to be able to see your pet’s eyes clearly in order to best capture their essence and character. The better the photograph, the better the drawing.
Email your photograph to me. If you do not have photographs readily available, I can photograph your pet for you; free of charge on a round trip of less than 25 miles in South Norfolk.
